Devotion

“Bhajan is the process of singing that originates in the heart, not from the lips or the tongue. It is the expression of the joyous thrill that wells up from the heart when the Glory of God is remembered. It is the spontaneous manifestation of inner ecstasy. No attention is paid to the blame or praise that others may give. It does not seek the admiration or the appreciation of the listeners.”

- Baba, Sri Sathya Sai Speaks – 1984

Sadhana

The Regional theme for the year is “Love in Action”. Each regional event will focus on one aspect of the theme. The GAB planning teams have selected “Prayers for Global Peace” as sub theme. With Swami’s grace and guidance, we suggest the following as Sadhana elements. Kindly share the information with center members and help implement suggestions.

Our Sadhana suggestions are as follows:

1. Watch and reflect on 2018 Regional Retreat Speakers video recordings (Click here)

2. Practice Bhajan for at least 108 times to offer on Global Akhanda Bhajan Day

3. GAB team also request all the singers to watch this video (Click here) from Swami’s students. This is an excellent sharing on the nuances of bhajan singing and Swami’s guidelines.

In addition, you may wish to study and practice Swami messages.

We pray to Swami that He guides each one of us on our spiritual journey so we achieve the goal He has wished for us.

We invoke Swami's blessings as we collectively do the Sadhana and immerse ourselves in His love and live His teachings and values.
